The Auckland Armageddon Expo was a big event; lasting 4 whole days. Awesome. That meant more opportunity for cosplay! For those not in the know: this event normally goes for 3 days.
Con attendance seemed a bit down this year compared to other years. It certainly wasn't as crowded as I remember as I could actually get to the stalls and buy stuff. And for the first time I actually got to play several of the games on offer. Fruit Ninja was a favourite one. I am very tempted to buy it on Xbox Kinect. It made my arms very sore though...Party Central (I think it's called?), also on Xbox Kinect, was great fun too. Though I roasted in my costumes playing it. Had to keep going for a breather outside to cool down.
As always the cosplay scene was so inspiring. I always leave Armageddon feeling to amped up and ready to sew more costumes. I see more Naruto characters in my future at the moment. Would love to do a young Kakashi.
The competition was full of frills and fancyness this year. So drool worthy.
And I loved the judge's
Overall I thoroughly enjoyed the weekend. And of course will be back next year for more! Next up is the Wellington event, where hopefully I will have Hit Girl completed and ready to compete.
